GSM and UMTS Air Interface and Signalling

This 10-day training course is a combined training course consisting of four of our other popular GSM and UMTS courses; 2-day GSM Signalling, 2-day  GSM Air Interface, 2-day  UMTS Air Interface and 2-day  UMTS Core Network Signaling. For a basic description of the content covered, please review the modules tab above and for deep level content follow the links of the individual course details below. Friday is for group exercises. GSM Signalling provides an overview of signalling within GSM networks including SS7. This section of the course runs on the first Monday and Tuesday.

GSM Air Interface provides a comprehensive study of Air Interface and its procedures and design including TDMA and FDMA. This section of the course runs on the first Wednesday and Thursday.

UMTS Air Interface provides a comprehensive overview of procedures used over the air interface that has been selected to fulfil high flexibility requirements. This section of the course runs on the second Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday is for Questions and Answers Session.

UMTS Core Network Signalling looks at four CS-domain inter-works with VoIP; signaling, IMS, C5 and P5. This section of the course runs on the second Thursday and Friday.

TARGET PARTICIPANT: Delegates must have attended a GSM overview course or be experienced in GSM architecture and structure, as this course covers many of the topics in substantial detail.
